Feelings
I paint for many reasons, and emotion is one of those. The act of painting in itself can be a release of feelings or a way to handle life events. Emotion plays a part in doing the work, but it also plays a part in viewing the work. When I paint, it gives me a sense of freedom and solitude. It is like rerouting emotions from me onto the canvas. Expressing what I think and feel through colors rather than words is more easier for me. The vast space before me helps me focus and allows me to experiment with colors and strokes.
